HAROLD BIXBY AWARD

The Harold S. Bixby Service Award is to be given annually in recognition of the individual who has continuously endeavored,
over the course of the year, to promote the spirit of English Cockers working in the field. The Harold S. Bixby Service
Award recognizes the individual, who during the course of the year has continuously, unselfishly, and distinctly given of
themselves to advance the cause of English Cockers fieldwork. The Awardee selected is to exemplify the high
standards set by Harold S. Bixby, the award's namesake, whose generosity and unselfish support of
English Cockers in the field has contributed enormously to their successes in all field events, trials and hunt tests.
The recipient is nominated by the Field Committee and will be chose by the NCC committee for that year.
The plaque will read: "The Harold S. Bixby Service Award is given to (name of recipient), who has continuously,
unselfishly and distinctly given of them self to advance the cause of the English Cockers in the field, and exemplifies the
high standards set by Harold S. Bixby."

Dungarvens Ready Teddy Challenge Award - For the national high point lady handler based on both open/amateur
points for 2010. This award is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Wilhelmina Garvan and Mrs. Ruth Greening.
The history of this award was that it was designated for the best lady handler in the Cocker National. The award
was initiated by "Billie" Garvan and won three times consecutively by Mrs. Greening. The award was retired
in 1960 and Mrs. Greening ran an American Cocker named Ru-Chars Citation. It is now made possible through
the generosity of Mrs. Noel Caccio, Billie's daughter and Mis Mykenzie Lea Cotiaux. It is to honor
lady handlers of the past, present and future for their accomplishments afield.
